Sue is a Mentor level teacher and Ambassador for the Institute for Vocal Advancement

Sue Kingham has been performing and teaching singing in Perth, Western Australia for over 30 years. She has been running her own successful singing studio for over 18 years and was instrumental in bringing out SLS Master Teachers to WA. She studied under some of the worlds top voice and vocal pedagogy trainers with SLS for 10 years and reached Level 4.5 as a teacher.

In 2013 Sue left that organisation to join the new organisation Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA). Sue became a Mentor Teacher in IVA in 2014 and continues to grow as a vocalist and voice teacher. Sue was Area Representative (AR) for IVA in Western Australia from 2013 -2020, and has been an IVA Ambassador since 2017.

Sue also taught for over 26 years at the prestigious West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in the Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance and Contemporary Music Education Courses. Sue has taught principal studies and performance units in these courses, as well as teaching for WAAPA's Explore Courses, namely the Contemporary Vocal Performance Workshop, Jazz Vocal Workshop and Jazz Vocal Masterclass. From July 2015 Sue decided to focus her attention primarily on building her private vocal studio.

Sue teaches students in various styles including contemporary commercial, music theatre, R&B, Jazz, and original music and specialises in technique and performance skills, both on a one-to-one basis and in workshops.
